“Obviously we’re a little disappointed with the market developments with Cape Wind,” says Michael Revak, vice president for execution for Siemens Wind Power Onshore Americas.
In December 2013 Siemens announced a contract to supply Cape Wind with its 3.6MW turbines, in a breakthrough order for the nascent US market. Cape Wind was expected to eventually reach 468MW, although the developer never managed to secure PPAs for the full amount.
