New Jersey’s Port of Paulsboro is in the running for a key role in EDF’s Nautilus offshore wind project, as the developer moves to finalise its supply-chain strategy ahead of onshore construction next year.

Big supply-chain decisions must soon be made for Nautilus, following the announcement last week that MHI Vestas is the preferred turbine supplier. A final decision on financial support for the project is expected by the end of this year from New Jersey’s Board of Public Utilities, which would leave the 25MW Nautilus on track for completion off Atlantic City in 2020.
