Sachiko Matsushita, a spokesperson for the conglomerate, tells Rechargethat a newly-formed subsidiary, which has yet to be named, will run theplant when it begins operations in January 2015.
Construction will start in July ona 79-hectare plot in Kisosaki, Mie Prefecture.
The company has yet to decide on apanel supplier, Matsushita adds.
The electricity will be fed into the local grid underJapan’s feed-in tariff (FIT) system.
Marubeniis also developing an 82MW PV plant in Oita Prefecture, among other solarprojects.
