Marubeni
will
construct
the
plant
on
a
105,000-sq-metre
coastal
site
in
an
industrial
district.
The
Japanese
conglomerate
will
set
up
a
special-purpose
company
and
start
work
at
the
site
next
month,
with
commissioning
of
the
plant
due
around
March
2014.
Power
generated
will
be
sold
to
utility
Kyushu
Electric
Power
under
a
20-year
deal.
Marubeni
says
the
plant
will
play
a
significant
role
in
helping
it
to
collect
data
in
areas
such
as
performance
and
maintenance
as
it
plans
future
large-scale
solar
projects.
