It is investigating three potential sites in Newcastle, Fife and the Isle of Wight, where it would pre-assemble its five-megawatt offshore turbines before sending them to sea.
XEMC Darwind intends to have two prototypes of its DD115 offshore turbine in the water by the end of the year. One will be in China and another in Europe, probably in UK or Dutch waters.
