In Wyoming’s case, that means coal, natural gas, oil, electric transmission, petroleum product pipelines and more recently, wind.

Even though Wyoming ranks last among states in population, it supplies 40% of all coal mined in the US, is a major gas producer and is among the top six or seven states in wind energy potential.
