The 700-mile (1,130km), 600kV overhead line will move 4GW of low-cost electricity generated by wind farms in the western Oklahoma Panhandle to utilities and customers in neighbouring Arkansas, Tennessee and other markets in the Mid-South and Southeast.

“In Arkansas, we will deliver 500MW to an intermediate converter station to Hope County connecting to the Entergy system, also part of MISO,” says Clean Line chief executive Michael Skelly.
