Ground lease acquisition company Landmark Dividend has purchased 2,400 acres underlying a 50MW wind farm at the Alta Wind Energy Center in Tehachapi, California. The deal includes manufacturing and office space at the site. Landmark calls the deal a “significant transaction” as it includes a lease with NRG Energy, which has a PPA with SoCal Edison for the energy. The firm is seeking additional real estate acquisition opportunities now that Congress has renewed key federal tax credits for solar and wind that will promote industry expansion..
