The result far outpaces the 5% of megawatts contracted through PPAs in 2013.
AWEA in its US Wind Industry Annual Market Report 2015 says its data includes projects with publicly announced physical and virtual PPAs, off-site wind projects under direct ownership, offsite wind projects announced with long-term contracts to receive associated renewable energy credits and onsite wind projects.
