From 1 April Vattenfall will be organised around six new business areas: Heat, Wind, Customers & Solutions, Distribution, Generation and Markets.
The utility was previously organised on a regional basis. Vattenfall's new unit will work across geographies including the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Denmark, and will cover both onshore and offshore wind.
The restructured wind operation will be led by Gunnar Groebler, who becomes head of business area wind.
