Vattenfall enters 2016 with ambitious goals for Denmark and a new country manager to chart its course there. Ole Bigum Nielsen was appointed in December after a series of announcements that highlighted the company's intention to focus on renewables, with wind power top of the agenda.
Nielsen has worked in the wind industry since 2000 and for Vattenfall since 2006. Much of that time has been spent with Vattenfall's offshore wind projects, including spells as head of UK offshore projects, head of project execution for offshore wind and project director on the 288MW DanTysk wind farm.
