WEC's scenario-based report, The Grand Transition, developed with Accenture Strategy and the Paul Scherrer Institute, sees wind and solar rising from accounting for 4% of power generation, to between 20-39% in the next 35 years, while gas, oil and coal together falls to as low as 50% of the global energy mix.
