Denmark’s Vestas remained the world’s number one turbine supplier last year, with strong sales across both its onshore and offshore divisions, according to BTM Navigant’s World Wind Energy Market Update 2015.

German’s Siemens, meanwhile, raced up the charts to the number two slot globally, thanks in large part to vibrant offshore sales and the rebound of the German onshore market.

GE, which is in the process of acquiring France’s Alstom, took the bronze medal last year – topping China’s Goldwind, the number four supplier, by a mere 31MW out of a global market of 51.2GW.
