The Danish group said a study of the province’s wind resources showed the potential for four developments with a total capacity of 800MW-1GW.
Vestas will work with the Punjab authorities on early-stage development at the project sites.
Earlier this week the company signed a similar MoU with Pakistan’s Sindh province, covering the development of up to 400MW.
In both provinces, Vestas will work with the Danish government and its contacts in the investment community to help facilitate finance for projects.
