Vestas – itself based in Denmark – says the three-year deal with the “long-term customer” represents its largest ever onshore framework agreement in its home country.

The initial 17MW will be delivered next year and includes a 15-year service agreement. No details are given of the turbine model involved.

Krister Poole Jönsson, vice president of sales in Vestas’ Nordic region, says: “Signing this strategic agreement to deliver wind turbines over three years in Denmark shows the wind market in Denmark remains strong and our customers are committed to working together with Vestas.”
