Vestas officials say that the customer has asked for the contract to remain confidential for now, and will only say that its is “a company with worldwide operations.”
The Danish giant’s slightly unusual announcement comes after it was reprimanded by the Danish stock exchange for being slow in disclosing a big contract earlier this year. It suggests Vestas has speeded up the process of announcing firm orders – to the extend that its customer is not ready to go public.
