Vestas gets 75 turbine order for Eastern Europe

Vestas, the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer, has won an order for 50 V100-1.8 MW and 25 V90-2.0 MW turbines for Bulgaria and Romania.

The order has been placed by Global Wind Power, and the contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the turbines, and a 5 year-service agreement.

Installation of the turbines will start in 2010 and the projects are expected to be commissioned during 2010.

Global Wind Power comissioned four projects in Bulgaria during 2008 and 2009 with a total capacity of 52 MW - all using Vestas turbines.
