The Danish wind giant will deliver 51 of its V100-2.0MW turbines and 30 of its V117-3.3MW machines to an unnamed EDF RE project in the third quarter of 2016.
Vestas – which manufactures blades, nacelles and towers in Colorado – narrowly trails GE when it comes to supplying under-construction wind farms in the US through the third-quarter of this year.
Last week Vestas scored a 200MW order in Oklahoma representing its first in the US for its V126-3.3MW
