MAKE said Vestas delivered the biggest leap in market share of any wind turbine manufacturer thanks to the breadth of its global reach. It added capacity in 35 markets to achieve an “unparalleled” 7.6GW in last year and retake the pole position it held until 2014, when it dropped to third.
That global growth – exclusively achieved onshore – allowed Vestas to edge out Goldwind, which has itself been declared leading onshore wind OEM last year by several other market analysts.
