Van Oord plans to take an equity stake in the wind farm alongside the UK-based investor as well as providing balance-of-plant services to the project, which is planned for a site 90km offshore in the German Bight.
The Dutch company signed a co-operation agreement with Highland Group that aims to reach financial close in the first half of 2017.
Deutsche Bucht would then see offshore installation work start in the second half of 2018 ahead of commissioning in 2019.
