The transaction is the largest single investment in small wind projects, according to Forum, which will release further details later Tuesday. Forum describes itself as a "privately owned alternative investment management and principal investment firm."
Formed in 2013, United Wind enables commercial and residential property owners to lease a distributed-scale turbine of 100kW or less and lock in rates for 20-years, maintenance-free, without initial out-of-pocket costs.
