The college – the first of its kind in Britain devoted to a renewable source – will act as a national hub for skills, training and education, mainly in offshore wind, the UK government said today.
The facility will be located somewhere in the Humber region in northeast England – the area emerging as the UK’s focus for offshore wind activity thanks to the large developments off its coast and significant investments in the region.
