Projects will be able to accredit under the RO until the original deadline of 31 March 2017 if they had planning consent, a grid connection and a land agreement in place by 18 June this year – the date on which the government announced the policy switch.
The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) – which has been the target of stinging criticism over the support removal – said it will also allow an additional “investment freezing” period.
