The UK’s new energy secretary Amber Rudd will announce changes to the RO support mechanism that will see it end earlier than the current deadline of March 2017, according to the Telegraph newspaper.
That would replicate the approach taken by the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) to solar projects above 5MW, which were excluded from support two years early and saw the door shut from March this year.
