The second annual Cost Reduction Monitoring Framework (CRMF) report says the UK’s offshore sector – the most ambitious in the world – met or exceeded 12 of the 13 cost reduction indicators flagged up for 2015.
The report – produced by the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (ORE Catapult) on behalf of the government-industry Offshore Wind Programme Board (OWPB) – also cites high sector confidence that it can hit the 2020 goal in relation to eight of the indicators, with “medium confidence” in another three.
