The UK was bumped down one notch to AAB status in the 2015 Energy Trilemma Index produced by the World Energy Council.

The UN-accredited body compiles the annual index to measure nations’ performance in balancing the three corners of the energy ‘trilemma’ – energy security, availability and affordability, and sustainability.

The UK downgrade for availability and affordability comes against a background of support cuts to wind and PV imposed by the recently-elected Conservative government.
