The UK government accelerated the schedule, bringing the opening of the CfD auction bidding window forward to 29 January from the previously announced date of 18 February.
Eligible applicants will be required to submit their bids before the window closes on 4 February, instead of the previous deadline set for 24 February. CfD winners will now be notified on 26 February.
Contract signature has also been brought forward to 27 March, said The Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) – the company managing the competitive CfD process for the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), as the appeals process was completed two and a half weeks ahead of schedule.
