New Zealand utility Trustpower said it is reducing P50 yield predictions to 892GWh annually from a pre-start-up 985GWh after carrying out a year of operational measurements at Snowtown 2, which entered service in November 2014 using 90 3MW Siemens turbines equipped with a mixture of 53-metre and 49-metre blades.
Trustpower said the production downgrade knocks between A$60m-$70m ($43m-$50m) off the $315m value of Snowtown 2, which was built by Siemens for Trustpower at a site north of Adelaide in the state of South Australia, extending an existing 100MW wind farm.
