TerraForm Global purchased the 195MW Salvador and the 42MW Espra projects from Renova with a combination of Class A shares and cash raised during its July IPO.
The deal represents TerraForm Global's first set of external acquisitions since going public this summer.
Since its IPO, the share price of both TerraForm Global and parent SunEdison have fallen sharply, making such acquisitions more expensive for the company.
