Already low German day-ahead power prices fell another 3.6% last year to an average of €31.63 ($36.05) per megawatt hour on wholesale markets as the share of renewables in Germany's electricity generation surged to 30% in 2015 from 25.8% a year earlier, TenneT shows in its Market Review 2015.
Under pressure from increased German power exports, prices in France, Belgium and the Netherlands also fell to well below €40/MWh at the end of last year.
