The US technology group included the seven-year notes among a wider $12bn bond issue.
The iPhone and Mac behemoth told Reuters the green bonds will “allow investors to show they will put their money where their hearts and concerns are”.
Green bond issuance could top $50bn this year after hitting a record $42.4bn in 2015, Moody’s Investors Service said earlier this month.
