The Business Standard newspaper this week quoted an official from the Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) as saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is now reviewing a draft proposal to start an offshore project in the state.
Tamil Nadu’s total installed onshore wind capacity reached 7.35GW at the end of July, according to TEDA data.
The New Delhi-based daily also quoted the TEDA official as saying that the Tamil Nadu government is eager to develop more rooftop solar capacity.
