Sweden's energy agency is currently analysing different types of support mechanisms to help offshore wind take off along its long Baltic Sea coast.

The agency has to come up with a viable proposal by June, which is expected to lead to a draft law that can be placed before parliament.

"I can see that it could be both some kind of [direct] subsidies, but also support for the connections," Baylan said at the EWEA Offshore wind conference that started in Copenhagen today.
