Chalasani would join the Indian wind power group from his current role as CEO at engineering conglomerate Punj Lloyd, according to the Economic Times, which cited unnamed sources close to the issue.
Chalasani is a former CEO of Indian power group Reliance Power and has had a long career in the country’s energy and infrastructure sectors.
Suzlon’s group head of communications said the company has no comment to make when contacted by Recharge earlier today.
