Suzlon will build the wind capacity “for SME sector and independent power producers”, said the company.
Chairman Tulsi Tanti announced the plans at the Global Investors Summit in Indore, the central Indian state’s largest city.
Tanti said the Madhya Pradesh government has “an impressive track record” that includes 11% economic growth and 14GW of installed power capacity.
Pune, Maharashtra-based Suzlon said it has installed half the capacity already operating in Madhya Pradesh.
