Suzlon is one of a raft of foreign turbine manufacturers suspended from the Finame scheme run by Brazilian development bank BNDES, which offers wind developers access to cheap finance.
BNDES imposed the suspensions when it started auditing the manufacturers over alleged breaches of local-content requirements, locking out Vestas, Siemens, Fuhrlander, Clipper and Acciona, in addition to Suzlon, which has been off the list since May.
