The transaction follows an agreement signed earlier this year between Renova and SunEdison's yieldco TerraForm Global over the purchase of Renova's wind and small-hydro operating assets in Brazil.
The two companies last year agreed to develop 1GW of PV capacity in Brazil, a deal that also sees SunEdison open a module assembly plant in the country.
