Strong winds pushed wind power output to peak at more than 30GW. Despite overcast weather, solar installations still managed to peak at up to 13GW in Europe's largest renewable energy market.
"Such a performance record many experts ten years ago still would have considered unimaginable," IWR director Norbert Allnoch said.
During the previous RE output record in Germany, in April 2014, wind and solar produced 38GW.
