The pair acquired the Dudgeon development company from UK-based Warwick Energy, and say they will now work to bring the project to the point of a final investment decision.
Located 32km off the coast of Norfolk, eastern England, Dudgeon is 20km from Sheringham Shoal – the 317MW project co-developed by Statkraft and Statoil and fully-commissioned in August.
Unlike Sheringham Shoal – which was a 50/50 partnership – oil and gas group Statoil will own 70% of development company Dudgeon Offshore Wind, with utility Statkraft holding the rest.
