Statkraft goes ahead with $134m wind farm in central Sweden

Stamåsen 1 will consist of 26 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2.3MW and will cost a total NKr850m ($134m) .

The wind farm is expected to generate around 200 GWh a year when it goes into production in the autumn of 2012.

The license for Stamåsen allows for a total installed capacity of 115MW, but limited grid transmission capacity in the region necessitates development in stages.
