The first order, awarded by Egypt’s New & Renewable Energy Authority (NREA), is to supply 60 of its G80-2.0MW turbines for a 120MW project being funded by the Spanish government through its Fund for International Expansion.
Gamesa says delivery of the turbines is expected to begin in October 2016, with commissioning of the wind farm scheduled for the third quarter of 2017.
