Chile's National Energy Commission (CNE), which organizes the nation’s power tenders, announced this week that 38 companies bid in the process, and of those at least 15 were solar projects and five were wind.
CNE will now analyze the bids and should announce the winners on October 26.
In the current tender, Chile’s distribution companies want to contract 12,000GWh of power annually for 20 years starting in 2017.
