Acciona could use some good news in 2015. Although its renewables division notched up some significant accomplishments last year, the company is still recovering from a brutal 2013, in which it swallowed an eye-watering loss of €2bn ($2.2bn).
Acciona blamed its poor performance on Madrid's retroactive "reforms" to the Spanish energy market, where more than two-thirds of the company's 8.5GW of installed generation capacity – the vast majority of it wind – is located.
