The damages will be deducted from the 1.05bn yuan outstanding payment owing to Sinovel under a contract relating to a 2013 supply deal, Huaneng told the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in a regulatory filing.
Sinovel also has to ship 30m yuan-worth of spare parts within 15 business days and meet a string of other specific conditions within set time limits, said Huaneng citing a settlement agreement signed yesterday.
