Sunray Wind, a subsidiary of Valero Energy, is developing the Texas wind farm that will have the capacity to generate 50 Megawatts of power once fully operational. Valero Energy’s $100m wind project, located on 5,000 acres of land adjacent to its McKee (Texas) Refinery should be completed by the end of the year, the Tennessee-based wind farm contractor said.
“The Sunray project is a great example of an energy company taking meaningful steps towards alternative energy generation,” said Ben Fischer, Signal Wind’s president.
