“The country has fabulous opportunities in renewables, both in solar and wind,” chief executive Joe Kaeser said during a business forum in Argentina. He noted few countries can match its solar and wind resources.
He believes that Siemens can build wind generation capacity there able to deliver power at 4 cents/kWh.
The investment package signed this week by Kaeser and President Mauricio Macri also includes development of 4GW of natural gas-fired generation projects and other infrastructure.
