“No one was injured, and no one was working in or near the turbine at the time of the incident. The site is secure, and turbines at the project have been idled. A full investigation is underway to determine the cause,” a spokesperson told Recharge.
The project entered commercial operation in late 2012 and sells power to Maui Electric Company under a 20-year contract.
