A Siemens press official at company headquarters in Hamburg denies market talk that the German industrial giant has a preferred turbine supplier agreement in place for an offshore wind project in Canada.
Beothuk, based in St. John's Newfoundland, has not named a turbine supplier for the smaller project.
In its Monday announcement, Beothuk says it “has partnered or has formed working relationships with … Siemens Offshore Wind,” among others, for the C$4bn ($2.87bn)
