Hull City Council’s planning committee gave the go-ahead for the entire development at Green Port Hull, where the 75-metre blades for Siemens' 6MW offshore turbines will be made and nacelles assembled. The complex will include offices and a turbine servicing and maintenance centre.
Siemens Hull project director Finbarr Dowling says the unanimous vote by the planning committee is the culmination of detailed work by the company and Associated British Ports.
