Four of the SWT-7.0-154 turbines will be deployed by developer Nissum Broads Vindmøllelaug, which was selected as part of a 50MW technology-focused tender round announced last July.
The project will also trial the innovative suction-bucket jacket foundation which Dong Energy last week said will be used under one-third of the 171 7MW turbines at the 1.2GW Hornsea offshore wind project in the UK North Sea.
